So Clayton comes up to me this morning with a new gem. A buddy of his (former coworker) is opening a site as of today. Now, you know how I’m all about early adoption. So of course I went to check it out. Wow, is this thing cool.

So now on the right hand side of the site you’ll see a social-looking button (conveniently located directly below the other social buttons) that says “Beer Me!”. This is a link to a page on beerdonation.com that will allow you to send us a donation of either a beer ($5), a six-pack ($10), or a case ($25).

The really cool thing about this is that it’s all tracked and easily displayed (your site tag gets updated with your beers-to-date).

The site wires your money straight to a Stripe account, so it’s very secure.

Also, the donor also has the ability to post you a comment with their donation. Interesting thing about this is that unless they include their name, they’re anonymous by default.

Crazy thing; the site doesn’t charge you anything. It only allows (reads: does not force you to, or gimp you if you don’t)you to donate some of your incoming beers to them (three options currently; none, every 5th, or every 10th).

If you go and get started using the site, cut the guy some slack, not everything may work exactly the way it should. It’s still early yet and today’s his go live (not necessarily launch).

Check it out, buy someone a beer (I’m always a prime candidate), and get some beer yourself. It’s a damned cool service.
